The authorities of the Dominica Grammar School – DGS, located in Valley Road, Roseau, took to Facebook to congratulate Kenisha Antoine for winning the crown of Miss Teen Dominica 2023.

DGS authorities also congratulated all other contestants of the Pageant and thanked the Waitukubuli Dance Theatre Company for the successful hosting of the event and for giving the young females this opportunity.

The school authorities presented their sincere thanks to their headline sponsor, Do It Center Dominica and added, “you are indeed an amazing team to work with.”

While thanking others, including their photographer, hair stylist and makeup artist, the school wrote, “To our photographer Secretly Dominican, hair stylist Jojo’s Styles and makeup artist Commodore Elleen thank you for choosing Shian to be your representative.”

Furthermore, they thanked the Team Dominica Grammar School and said, “To Team DGS (Ms Dinnard, Ms Z Durand, Ms Commodore, Ms Stephenson, Ms Stuart, Ms Benjamin, Mr Green, Tana Valmond, Mr E JnoBaptiste, Ms Sorhaino and Mr Jones) I say thank you.”

“To team Shian, especially her mother, Harriette, we love and appreciate you. To our costume builder, Mr John Riviere, and airbrush artist Mr Ceasar Catin thank you. Thank you to the DGS school body for your kind words and support. We say thank you to any individual we may have missed; your efforts did not go unnoticed,” added DGS.

The school authorities were not let down as their student didn’t win the crown of Miss Teen Dominica 2023, but they took it as a stepping stone in life and highlighted, “We may not have won the title of Ms Teen Dominica 2023, but the experience along the way was good and is simply a stepping stone for great things to come.”

Shian Sylvester, from Canefield, represented the Dominica Grammar School at the Pageant. She was co-sponsored by Do It Center Dominica-Your Partner in Home Improvements, Secretly Dominican-providing photography and videography services and Jojo’s Styles.
