Ayrshire, Scotland: In a collaborative effort to promote gender diversity in the construction sector, CEIS Ayrshire has teamed up with Robertsons Construction to introduce a groundbreaking initiative – a Sector Work Academy tailored to provide vital support and empowerment for women seeking to embark on careers in construction.
Reportedly, CEIS Ayrshire is a Scotland-based business organisation that helps to provide support to individuals in terms of employability, employer engagement, recruitment and retention services, workforce development services, community engagement and capacity building, skills and training services and community regeneration services.
Previously, the CEIS Ayrshire team collaborated effectively to empower and ensure women seeking employment work efficiently in construction areas.
CEIS Ayrshire team has also shared some terms and conditions for the eligibility criteria for women.
This unique opportunity is open to individuals who meet specific criteria:
– Age 16 and above
– Reside in North Ayrshire
– Currently unemployed
– Not enrolled in an educational program
The Sector-Based Work Academy, set to commence in the near future, is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the construction industry.
It represents a concerted effort to break gender barriers and encourage more women to pursue rewarding careers in this traditionally male-dominated field.
Interested candidates are encouraged to contact Erica Downie, CEIS Ayrshire’s dedicated Business Services Officer, at erica.downie@ceisayrshire.co.uk. Erica will provide further information on the program, including how to apply and key dates.
This initiative marks a significant step towards promoting inclusivity and diversity within the construction sector. CEIS Ayrshire and Robertsons Construction are determined to create a supportive environment where women can build successful careers in construction.
Through this initiative, they ensured and empowered equal working opportunities for women and helped to extract these working stereotypes from society.
