The Cardiff Community Housing Association – CCHA on the eve of Valentine’s Day, announced that the community teams had been busy spreading the love. It highlighted that they have put together a weekly Community Drop-In at the Trowbridge Community Centre.
CCHA provides 3000 homes in Cardiff and is a registered social landlord. It is passionate about supporting communities within Cardiff and putting tenants at the heart of everything they do. It is a housing association with 3,000 properties in south east Cardiff.
Notably, the drop-in is not just for Valentine’s Day but every week starting this Thursday. The event will include so much going on which, includes:
Breakfast Club, 9.30 am – 11.00 am: A warm and welcoming space to come and enjoy a selection of hot and cold breakfasts and refreshments to set you up for a great day.
Community Living Room, 11.00 am – 3.00 pm: Following on from Breakfast Club, we will continue to leave our space open for you to relax and unwind. We will have a TV, laptops, books and board games available, along with warm soup, hot and cold refreshments and a selection of snacks.
Working Wardrobe, 12.00 pm – 2.00 pm: The Working Wardrobe provides free interview clothing and smart workwear for people looking for work. If you are looking for work or have recently secured employment or a volunteering placement, drop in to select a free outfit – to keep.
There will also be a different drop-in session every week, which will cover things like digital inclusion and managing the cost of living crisis. This week, Paula, one of our JETS mentors, will be on hand to offer you any employment advice and support. She’ll be there between 11.00 am – 1.00 pm and can help with things like CVs, cover letters, application forms, interview preparation and training courses.
The Cardiff Community Housing Association stated that it hoped to see most of the people at the event and that everything would be free at the event.
