In partnership with the Charity Prostate Scotland and NHS Colleagues, Ayrshire Cancer Support delivered their first Living Well with Prostate Cancer Course today (Thursday), October 26, 2023.
Ayrshire Cancer Support is a leading charity and Nonprofit organisation providing emotional and practical support to the people affected by Cancer.
The Charity Cancer Scotland is a Charity providing information, advice and help on prostate cancer. It offers a range of guides and booklets about prostate cancer and its treatments.
Recently, the Organisations have collaborated to deliver their first Living Well with Prostate Cancer Course.
During the course, ten men enrolled on the free six-week programme and learned from experts how to manage side effects and live well when affected by prostate cancer.
The Course covers different weekly topics, including managing fatigue, managing urinary problems, understanding the side effects of treatment, exploring erectile dysfunction and relationships, eating well, and how to keep momentum when moving forward.
Feedback on the benefits of the Course has been extremely positive, and the men enjoyed supporting and getting to know each other. The next group will start the programme on November 1.
The Ayrshire Cancer Support urged people interested in finding out more or being added to the waiting list for future courses to contact them.
