Twenty-two-year-old Elinor O’Brien died after she was brutally stabbed at Manchester city centre tower block.
Paramedics found the young twenty-two-year-old woman injured and unresponsive at the apartment building. Police were called to the Great Nothern Tower on Tuesday, August 16.
Elinor O’Brien was taken to the nearby hospital, but her wounds were very severe, and she passed away soon after she was brought to the hospital.
The forty-four-year older adult was suspected, and later, he was arrested by police under section 18 and has been charged with intent to wound and do bodily harm to the woman.
Kevin Mannion, 44, appeared at Manchester Magistrate court on Friday and was remanded into custody.

One of the women known to Elinor O’Brien said that Elinor was a beautiful young girl with a beautiful heart. In addition, she said that “She was loved by anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. Many hearts have been shattered and will never be the same. RIP our angel.”
Another woman who was a friend of Elinor posted on her Facebook saying, “We will miss you, Eli, beautiful inside and out. Taken too early. May you rest in peace now.”
“At around 12.30 pm on Tuesday, August 16 2022, Greater Manchester Police received a request for assistance from North West Ambulance Service following reports of an injured 22-year-old female reported to be unresponsive at a property on Watson Street in the Manchester city centre, said GMP.
Since Elinor’s death, her family has been supported by specially trained officers. Kevin Mannion has been charged with assault and intent to harm a twenty-two-year-old young woman named Elinor O’Brien.
Kevin Mannion has been remanded into custody ruled by Manchester Magistrates Court on Friday, August 19 2022.
